(with apologies to Clement Clarke Moore AND Dr. Seuss)
‘Twas the week after Christmas
And all through the houses,
The cats kept on dreaming
About dancing mouses.
The kittens were snuggled
All safe in their beds,
As small dancing rodents
Be-bopped through their heads.
The yards were both buried
Under blankets of snow,
We were sheltered indoors
With no place to go.
The turkey’s all gone,
But I don’t give a damn;
Since for breakfast today,
We had green eggs and ham.
